Texas Chapter Mission

What We Strive For

The GCL Texas chapter strives to instill a passion in a variety of different areas including artificial intelligence, robotics, rocketry and other STEM related projects. We hope to provide the resources and opportunities for minority groups in the Texas area to continue their passion for STEM and explore other diverse activities. We also aspire to start environment related projects that can not only impact our community in a positive way but also educate us about the environment we live in.

Madhalasa Iyer

My name is Madhalasa Iyer and I’m going to be a sophomore at Liberty High School next year. I’m a passionate environmentalist and a debater. I love science and I believe that AI and Machine learning will play a huge role in our future society and I am interested in its effects in the medicinal field.

I hope to provide minorities and refugees in Dallas, the resources and opportunities to explore further into Artificial Intelligence and other STEM activities.”

Texas Chapter Co-Leader

Nipun Grandhi

“My name is Nipun Grandhi. I am 16 years old and I am a rising junior at Flower Mound High School. I have a passion for robotics, aerospace, and building. In my free time I like practicing my violin, learning programming, and playing basketball. At school, I am an active FTC team builder and the founder of the rocketry club where I lead a team in designing, building, and flying model rockets for competition. I am also fascinated by space exploration and flight on earth, and I hope to use my interests to create better UAVs and rockets.

As the GCL Chapter Leader in Texas, I hope to instill a passion for robots and model rockets in everyone through robotics and rocketry workshops and activities.”
